About Us

Today, Mooresville Parks manages more than 180 acres of parkland and open space and 3 miles of paved trails/greenways; and provides hundreds of recreational programs, activities, and special events throughout the year. Mooresville Parks currently serves customers residing in the corporate limits of the Town, as well as customers from the surrounding unincorporated areas; however, only those residents located in the Town limits contribute to the park system through property taxes.

RECU Before & After School Site Coordinator (Waverly & Northwood)

Mooresville Parks and Recreation seeks a Coordinator at our Northwood site. The Coordinator is to oversee the daily tasks of our RECU Before and After-School Program. This job offers diverse responsibilities, and a passion for working with children is essential. The split shift is from 6:15 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday – Friday

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

RECU Before & After School Leaders

Mooresville Parks and Recreation seeks staff to work in our RECU Before and After-School Program. This job offers diverse responsibilities, and a passion for working with children is essential. The available shifts are from 6 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Employees can work either shift or both shifts in a day.

The pay rates are as follows:

Leader AM Shift: $14.00 per hour
Leader AM & PM Shifts: $14.00 per hour
Leader PM Shift: $12.00 per hour

LIFEGUARD: Mooresville Family Aquatic Center, supervises the slides, water area, water play features, and pool decks of the aquatic center, enforces rules and regulations, prevents accidents, safeguards swimmers from drowning, maintains a high level of physical and mental fitness, and participates in an active training program which may include daily swimming.
