The Mooresville Police Department Communications Center has a one (1) full time dispatcher vacancy beginning June 4, 2022. This is a non-exempt FLSA position. The current (2022) hourly rate of pay for this position is $22.75. Benefits include Civilian PERF, Health Insurance (Cigna-Trustmark), Life insurance, Dental Insurance (Delta Dental) and Vision insurance (EyeMed). Benefit costs for an individual through the town is $0 and family is $45 per month, with free access to Teledoc. This position includes seventeen (17) holidays per year, forty (40) hours of vacation and forty (40) hours of sick time after 6 months. There is a high probability that this position will require frequent evening and overnight shift work. As of right now, the schedule would look like this:

Saturday 7am to 3pm     Sunday 11pm to 7am     Monday 11pm to 7am      Tuesday OFF     Wednesday OFF     Thursday 3pm to 11pm      Friday 3pm to 11pm

Requirements for the position of full time dispatcher are listed below: A basic forty (40) hour telecommunicator course, National Incident Management Systems courses (IS-100, IS-200 and IS-700), Indiana Data and Communications System (IDACS) full operator certification, current telecommunicator cardiopulmonary resuscitation (T-CPR) certification, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Fire Service Dispatch and Law Enforcement dispatch protocol training certifications.
