Wastewater Department
About
A wastewater treatment plant is an essential public facility that cleans and purifies water from homes, businesses, and industries before returning it safely to rivers, lakes, or streams. These facilities operate under strict environmental regulations set by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) to protect public health and the environment.
New rates went into effect on April 21, 2020, for customers connected to the wastewater collection system. The increase ensures our system will continue to satisfy the mandated requirements and regulations, which are regulated by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) while allowing us to maintain and improve services to meet the needs of our community.
Establish
When you contact your water utility service provider to start or stop water service, the water company will share your service dates and water consumption information with the Town of Mooresville for sewer billing purposes.
Unless your sewer connection has been officially cut and capped, you will continue to be billed the minimum monthly sewer charge of $30.09 during the time water service is disconnected.
If you are on well water with sewer service, notify our office at (317) 831-1608 to activate or disconnect sewer service.
