The closure at Indiana and Main Streets will remain for approximately three to four more weeks. All downtown businesses are open during this time. Pedestrian access will remain open, please stay on the sidewalks and avoid crossing the road where there is active equipment. Public parking signs have been added to public spaces and a corresponding map is below.
Construction Sequencing Information
The first step of the downtown construction sequence involves excavation for and installation of the water main, and subsequently back filling the trench with stone for safety. Once the water main work is complete, than the work to remove and reconstruct the road and sidewalk takes place. At the intersection the water main work is mostly complete and removals have started.
